Tangier Excursion
A unique programme of visits to charities & institutions supported by BMS, an opportunity to visit fabulous homes and other places of interest, as well as a chance to meet residents of Tangier and Tetouan – and have a great time.

Sun 17 April – Arrive in Tangier
Air Arabia London to Tangier (arr 19:45)
21:00: Welcome Drinks & Dinner at Hotel El Minzah or Villa de France
Day 1 – Mon 18 April – Tangier
Morning:
Visit to BMS-supported charities and other places of interest in the Medina, led by Nadia la Valle (all walking distance):
Charities: Sisters of Mother Theresa
Casa Nazareth
Coffee: Café Central in the Petit Soco
Walk through Medina
American Legation – visit with Director
St. Andrewʼs Church in Grand Soco
Lunch: Casa dʼItalia in the grounds of the magnificent Palais Moulay Afid
(inc. private visit for BMS)
Afternoon & Evening:
Visit other charities down town, all near each other:
La Crèche de Tanger
Dar El Hanna
Le Foyer des Jeunes Diabétiques de Tangier
Walk through the Fez Market
Tea at home of a Tangier resident
Rest
Dinner or drinks at home of another Tangier resident
Day 2 – Tue 19 April – Tetouan
Morning:
Transport to Tetouan
Visit School for blind and partially sighted children – Meet Head, teachers and pupils (teacher training programme organised by BMS in Oct 15)
Tour around Tetouan with lunch stop
Mid Afternoon & Evening:
Return to Tangier
Performance by Darna Theatre
Drinks / dinner at home of Tangier resident
Day 3 – Wed 20 April – Tangier
Morning:
Relax, visit, shop in Tangier
Transport from hotel driving through the Old Mountain past historic villas
Aperitif at home of one of the residents
Lunch at Restaurant Mirage or L’Ocean on the Atlantic beach
Afternoon & Evening:
Return to Tangier
Visit home and gardens of Tangier resident
Cocktail followed by dinner at Nadia and Suomi La Valle’s home in the medina
Day 4 – Thu 21 April – Optional extra day
End of BMS Programme but arrangements can be tailor-made for participants who wish to stay on or are flying back to London the next day
Cost
Approx £100 per day for Days 1, 2, 3 to cover transport and admin costs,
gifts for our various Hosts, and a small donation to BMS charitable causes.
All other expenses (flight, hotel, meals, drinks, tips etc) paid individually.
BMS will try to negotiate a special price for B&B with Hotel El Minzah or Villa de France for those who would like to stay there. Also we’ll talk with Air Arabia for a group rate for passengers on the London-Tangier route.
