Featured Artists: Hmoud AlAttawi & Saad AlHowede (KSA) & Madiha Sebbani (MA)

British Moroccan Society members are invited to the VIP opening of Madiha Sebbani’s latest exhibition on November 3rd from 5:30 to 7:30pm in the OXO tower, London. Madiha Sebbani is a multidisciplinary artist who graduated from the National Institute for Fine Arts, Tétouan, in 2015.

The Exhibition Stereotype consists of a selection of works from Wasm Studio (Kingdom of Saudi Arabia) & Contemporary Lab (United Kingdom) and questions identity, confronting the ‘grouping’ of people and the societal dynamics which perpetuates a perception in our global consciousness.

Human generalisation creates groups of people in regard to ethnicity, propaganda, culture or religious beliefs. Social psychology explains this behaviour as a generalized belief about another particular category of people. The Etymology of a Stereotype is described as a solid impression, informed by one or more ideas or theories.
